These giant rhubarb-like plants have huge umbrella-like leaves that have the capacity to protect. Getting right under the leaves, with the smell of the undergrowth, the light coming through and highlighting the veins, the rain dripping off the edges but being kept dry at the same time, makes me feel connected to the earth, connected to our natural world.  This work is about being connected and protected…
